Traveling from Lushui County (泸水市), specifically Liuku Town (六库镇), to Bingzhongluo (丙中洛) in Gongshan County (贡山县) is primarily done by self-driving. The total distance is approximately 290 kilometers, and the journey typically takes between 6 to 8 hours. Below is a detailed guide for traveling to Bingzhongluo:

    Self-Driving Route and Road Conditions

    Main Route:

    • Start from Liuku Town (六库镇), Lushui County (泸水市), and follow the S228 Provincial Road (S228省道), also known as the Nujiang Beautiful Highway (怒江美丽公路), heading northwest.

    • The route passes through Fugong County (福贡县) and Gongshan County (贡山县), eventually reaching Bingzhongluo (丙中洛).

    Road Features:

    • The road winds through the Nujiang Grand Canyon (怒江大峡谷), with some sections of the road running along steep cliffs.

    • Pay attention to sharp zigzag bends and the significant change in altitude (from 800 meters to 1900 meters above sea level).

    • The Bingcha Highway (丙察公路) has been fully paved, offering a smoother and more efficient travel experience.

    Important Notes:

    • During the rainy season (from June to August), there is a risk of landslides, so be cautious and check real-time road conditions before your trip.

    • In the dry season (November to March), there may be black ice on the high-altitude sections, so extra care is required, especially on mountain roads.
