    Travel to Stone Forest from Kunming by bus is available. Stone Forest, which is the most dramatic of these attractions in Kunming, known since the Ming Dynasty as the ‘First Wonder of the World’. Stone Forest lies about 78 km away from Kunming, which is the capital of Yunnan, also known as the “Spring City”. The city is covered with blossoms and lush vegetation all-year round. Tourists can get to Stone Forest from Kunming very easily by buses.

    Be noticed that there are buses heading for Shilin County and Stone Forest Scenic Area, make sure you get on a right bus.

    There are many buses available every day from Kunming to The Stone Forest, from 09:00 to 17:30. Tourists can take the long-distance bus from Kunming East Bus Station(昆明东部客运站) to Stone Forest Scenic Area, and the journey will take about 1.5 hours.
