Hot Springs in Dali

Putuo Spring

Eryuan is a  small county in Dali that lies between Dali and Lijiang. It’s known for Cibi Lake which is about 73 kilometers north of Dali and drains southward into the  beautiful Erhai Lake. Eryuan is famous for its numerous hot springs. Putuo Spring is located at Yousuo Town, Eryuan County.

Xiaguan Hot Spring

Xiaguan Hot Spring is located at Xiaguan Town, Dali , formerly known as Dali “De Sheng Guan”, also known as “Tang Zi Pu”.The hot spring water gushes from crack in rock, with the flow of 200 tons per day. The water temperature is 76 ℃, contains more than ten kinds of minerals. There is good water quality, can smooth skin after bath, and have a certain effect on skin diseases and rheumatism.

Erhai Lake Cruise

Erhai Lake is the largest highland lake next to Dianchi Lake and one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China. It has its feature shaped as a human’s ear, whose surface equals 250 kilometers square, running from Dengchuan in the north with its south end at the Xiaguan city. It is 9 kilometers in width and 40 kilometers in length. The landscape of the Erhai Lake includes nine bends, five lakes, three islands, and four continents. Because of its crystal clear water and the charming landscape, it is also titled as “Pearl of Plateau”. Erhai Lake Cruise is an enjoyable way to immerse yourself in the beauty of Erhai Lake. 

Experience Tie-dyeing

Tie-dyeing is an old Chinese textile dyeing technique. Among several places known for this handicraft, Zhoucheng village in the Dali Bai autonomous prefecture of Southwest China’s Yunnan province is the most famous. The tie-dyeing technique of the Bai ethnic group in Dali was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2006. In Dali, there are all kinds of tie-dyeing experience centers, such as Lanxu Gufa Tie-dyeing Experience Store, which is located at Xizhou Town, Dali City.
