Chenggong District, which belongs to Kunming city of Yunnan Province, is a resident of Kunming Municipal People’s government. It is about 23.5 km from Kunming city centre to Chenggong district. A subway line connects Chenggong to the city centre opened in 2013. Bus and taxi are also available.
How to get to Chenggong District from Kunming City Centre?
By Subway
Extending in the north-south direction, Kunming Subway Line 1 connects South Ring Road(环城南路) with University Town South(大学城南) and South Railway Station(昆明南火车站). Passengers can easily arrive at South Railway Station by taking subway line 1. This part is linked with Kunming metro line 2 at South Ring Road Station. The present combined route of line 1 and line 2 runs for around 75 minutes. The main stops include South Ring Road, Railway Station, Fude, Rixin Road, Wujiaba, Changhong West Road, Xiaodong Village, Erji Road, Xingyao Road, New Asia Athletics Park, South Coach Station, Dounan, Chunrong Street, Tuofeng Street, Lianda Street, Yikang South Road, University Town, University Town South. If your destination is Kunming South Railway Station, take the branch from Chunrong Street to Kunming South Railway Station via Municipal Administration Center, Yihe Road, Bailongtan.

Bingzhongluo, which is called ‘A Heaven of Peace and Happiness’, is the most beautiful place in Nujiang Grand Canyon. It is located in the north of Gongshan Derung and Nu Autonomous County of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, which is the core area of ‘three parallel river(Nujiang river, Lancang river and Jinsha river)’. Cizhong Village, located in a gentle slope on both sides of the Lancang River Gorge. It borders Gongshan County of Nujiang Prefecture in the east. These two destinations are connected by De(Deqin)-Gong(Gongshan) highway and the distance is about 150 km.
How to Get to Bingzhongluo from Cizhong Village?
By Car-rental
Due to no shuttle bus serving the two place, car-rental is the best way of traveling. It will take about six and a half hour’s driving. It is better for you to rent a car with an experienced driver and a tour guide if you are foreign travelers. If you want to have more fun on the way, renting a car is highly recommended. The driver of chartering car can stop for you to enjoy the scenery and take photos. But a shuttle bus will not stop on the way. For some hikers, they’d like to trek from Cizhong village to Bingzhongluo. Usually it will take two days and will pass the Biluo Snow Mountain. One overnight in the mountain.
