How to Get to Shangri-La City from Tiger Leaping Gorge

Tiger Leaping Gorge is located about 88 km (62 miles) northwest of Lijiang City and about 108 kilometers south of Shangri-La County of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is one of the deepest gorges in the world.

How to Get to Shangri-La City from Tiger Leaping Gorge?

1.By Bus

Qiaotou-Shangrila

Near the ticket hall of Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area at Qiaotou Town, there are regular buses coming from Lijiang, Dali or Kunming and you can take the bus back to Shangrila. The latest bus from Lijiang is at 17:10 pm.

Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge-Shangrila(Tourist buses)

At around 15:00 pm, the tourist bus will depart from Tina's House heading to Shangrila. Plan your journey well in advance.

2.By Car-Rental

Renting a car to Shangrila city from Tiger Leaping Gorge is more comfortable and convenient but with more expense.
