Baoshan Stone Town is a Village with real natural barrier, with the cliffs surrounding on three sides, and Jinsha River Protecting the fourth side; it is just two stone doors in the north and south available for access.

    How to Get to Baoshan Stone Town from Lugu Lake?

    There are three ways to get to Baoshan Stone Town from Lugu Lake which are by private car rental, boat and hiking. Taking boat may be a very interesting option to enjoy the scenery along the Jinsha River. If you want to have a hiking tour, it is also a good choice.

    By Private Car Rental +Boat

    If you want to enjoy the scenery in Jinsha River. You can drive to Ahai Wharf(阿海码头), then transfer to Baoshan Stone Town Wharf by boat(宝山石头城码头). Because Stone Town is on the precipice on the Jinsha River. After getting the Baoshan Stone Wharf, you need to climb to the top of the Baoshan Stone Town.

    By Hiking

    Lugu Lake to Baoshan Stone Town has a famous hiking route. The route is like this : Lugu Lake - Yongning(永宁) - Lashike Pass(拉市科垭口) - Gewa(格瓦) - Labo(拉伯) - Crossing the Jinsha River - Fengke(奉科) - Taiziguan(太子关) - Baoshan Stone Town. It might takes about 3-4 days.
