Yongsheng County, located in the northwest of Yunnan Province and along the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is one of the counties under the jurisdiction of Lijiang city. Known as the "Granary of Northwest Yunnan" and the "Land of Fish and Rice," it boasts an abundance of natural resources and is rich in agricultural productivity.

The county is home to a variety of natural and historical sites, making it a perfect destination for travelers. Highlights include the Hongshiyan Ancient Earthquake Site, which is the most complete and spectacular ancient earthquake site in the world, and Chenghai Lake, one of the world's three natural spirulina lakes. Other notable spots include the Wisdom Source Grove, Liude Stele Forest, and Yangping Reservoir, which is the largest reservoir in the county. These attractions showcase the beauty of both the natural landscape and historical heritage of the region.

Yongsheng also offers a vibrant cultural experience with its ethnic diversity, as there are seven ethnic townships within the county. Visitors can immerse themselves in the local culture and traditions of various ethnic groups, offering a deeper understanding of the region’s diverse heritage. The county’s festivals and activities provide a glimpse into the harmonious coexistence of the Han, Yi, and other ethnic communities, making it a colorful cultural destination.

For those traveling to Lijiang or Yunnan, Yongsheng County is an excellent addition to any itinerary. The county’s historical significance as a key post on the Tea-Horse Ancient Road and its strategic position on the ancient Silk Road make it a gateway to exploring the rich history and culture of the region. With its easy accessibility from Kunming and Lijiang, Yongsheng offers both natural beauty and a deep cultural experience for all visitors.
