How to Get to Puzhehei from Wenshan City
Being around 350 kilometers from Kunming（昆明）, the Scenic Spot of Puzhehei（普者黑风景区）, is located in Qiubei County（丘北县） of Wehshan Prefecture（文山州）, which is 13 kilometers from the county itself, and also a National 4A Scenic Spot. Puzhehei（普者黑） covers a total area of 388 square kilometers, and its core zone takes up 165 square kilometers. As it is deemed as typical karst land-form, Puzhehei is famous for its Water Rural Scene, Lake and Forest, the Water Town of Yi People, Karst Landscape, Lotus World, as well as Migratory Bird’s Paradise. A total of 265 attractions are distributed across Puzhehei, as well as 312 peaks, 83 karst cave, 54 inter-connected lakes, 20 thousand acres of clear waters, 13-kilometer-long grand canyon, 3 kilometers of ancient tea-horse route, and 40 thousand acres of plateau karst wetland.
How to Get to Puzhehei from Kunming
1. By Long-Distance Coach
Please be noted that you will still need to transfer from Qiubei County（丘北县） to Puzhehei（普者黑） by local coach or taxi.

Please be noted, that after you have arrived at the local airport of Wenshan Prefecture（文山州）, you will still need to transfer by local coach or taxi to Puzhehei（普者黑）. However, it is absolutely important for you to reach a deal with the driver or conductor before departure.

The landscape of Puzhehei is often compared to Guilin (桂林) in Guangxi Province due to the similarity in karst formations, yet Puzhehei maintains its own unique charm with its lush greenery and picturesque scenery.
Transportation
Puzhehei is easily accessible by both road and rail. The scenic area is located at the intersection of:

- S206 Provincial Road (206省道)
This convenient location makes it easy for tourists to reach from nearby towns and cities, including Qiubei (丘北) and Wenshan (文山).

Direct Train: You can take a direct train from Kunming Station to Pingbian Station. The journey takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes. There are around 4 trains running daily, with ticket prices ranging from US$6.89 to US$17.74.

Transfer in Mengzi: Alternatively, you can take a train from Kunming to Mengzi (3-3.5 hours), and then transfer to a train to Pingbian. The train from Mengzi to Pingbian takes about 35 minutes.
By Long-Distance Bus

Direct Bus: There are non-stop buses from Kunming East Station to Pingbian Bus Terminal. The journey takes about 5 hours and covers a distance of 340 kilometers. The bus fare is approximately 118 CNY.
By Car

Self-Drive: If you prefer driving, the distance between Kunming and Pingbian is about 325.1 kilometers. The drive takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
By Air
Currently, there is no direct flight from Kunming to Pingbian County. The nearest airports are in Mengzi, Mile, Yuanyang, and Luxi, but they are still under construction.
