Being around 250 kilometers away from Kunming（昆明）, the County of Shiping（石屏县） covers a total area of 3,037 square kilometers, which is located in southern Yunnan and northwestern Honghe Prefecture（红河州）. It borders on Jianshui County（建水县） in the east, Honghe County（红河县） in the south, Yuanjiang County（元江县） and Xinping County（新平县） in the west, Tonghai County and（通海县） Eshan County（峨山县） in the north. In 2014, it’s got 7 villages and 2 towns under its jurisdiction. Besides, a total of 94.6% of its terrain resides on the mountains, which made it a typical agriculture county. As for population, more than 50% of the residents are deemed as minorities. Shiping Xiushan（石屏秀山） and Yilong Lake（异龙湖） are two of its major tourist attractions. The County of Shiping is also famous for its literature, oranges, waxberry, fish and grain production, tofu, as well as folk song and dance.
