    Brief Introduction

    Baoshan Yunrui Airport(ICAO：ZPBS；IATA：BSD), located in the southern suburb of Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, was built in 1929. It is one of the earliest airports built by China Civil Aviation and the "civilized airport" in southwest China. The airport covers an area of 1820 mu(about 121 hectares), airfield area grade is of 4C, runway 2400 meters long, it can provide Boeing 737, Airbus 320 and other planes for takeoffs and landings. Airport apron area is of 7200 square meters, aircraft stands of 5, and terminal area of 3897 square meters.

    History

    The airport, which was built in 1929, is a military airport. It is the main take-off and landing airport of the famous "hump route" and has made a great contribution to the victory of the War of Resistance against Japan. On April 1, 1958, Baoshan Station of China Civil Aviation was formally established. This is the first local civil aviation station set up by CAAC in the whole country. In May 1990, the airport was closed, rebuilt and expanded due to the elimination of aircraft models. In June 1994, it resumed flights, and the airfield class was expanded to 4C level.

    Airport Transportation

    1. Airport Shuttle Bus

    You can take the shuttle bus at Baoshan Bus Station.

    2. Taxi

    It takes about 50 yuan from Longyang district of Baoshan city to the airport in Yunrui village of Hanzhuang Town and from airport to urban area. If you do not take the 320 national highway and take the high-grade highway, you will pay your own road toll.

    3. Bus

    Departing from public transport north station in Longyang District of Baoshan City, you can take No.6, No.7 or No.8 bus to Zhongzhan Stop, and transfer to No.16 bus there, getting off at Jichang(airport) fork road. If you depart from Zhongzhan Stop(中站公交站), you can take No.16 bus directly.
