Gaoda Dai and Yi Ethnic Township (高大傣族彝族乡) is located in the southern part of Tonghai County, at the junction of Yuxi City and Honghe Prefecture. It borders Qujiang Town in Jianshui County, Honghe Prefecture to the east, and Longpeng Town and Shaochong Town in Shiping County, Honghe Prefecture to the west. To the north, it adjoins Jiulong Street and Lishan Township in Tonghai County. The township government is 18 kilometers from Tonghai County and 65 kilometers from Yuxi City, with a distance of 143 kilometers to Kunming City.
