Since its establishment in 1997, the fair has been held annually in Jinghong City (景洪市), typically lasting 5 to 7 days. The fair is divided into two main exhibition areas: international and domestic, showcasing products from countries along the Lancang-Mekong River basin (澜沧江—湄公河流域), such as Laos (老挝), Thailand (泰国), and Myanmar (缅甸). It focuses on six major ecological economic industries, including cultural tourism and wellness (文旅康养), rubber (橡胶), and Pu’er tea (普洱茶). As of October 2024, the fair has successfully hosted 25 editions and has become one of the most influential platforms for investment negotiations and cultural exchanges in the Lancang-Mekong sub-region (澜沧江—湄公河次区域).

On October 1, 2024, the 25th Xishuangbanna Border Trade and Tourism Fair officially commenced at Water-Splashing Square (泼水广场) in Jinghong City. The fair will run until October 7, 2024.

Exhibition Details

The exhibition covers an area of approximately 15,000 square meters, featuring about 250 outdoor standard booths divided into two main exhibition areas: international and domestic.

International Exhibition Area: Organized by countries such as Laos (老挝), Thailand (泰国), and Myanmar (缅甸).

Domestic Exhibition Area:

• Xishuangbanna Specialty Products Exhibition Area (西双版纳特色商品展区), highlighting the seven key industries of the entire prefecture and three counties and cities.
• “Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Yunnan Exhibition Alliance” (澜湄合作云南会展联盟), showcasing distinctive products from seven border prefectures: Dehong (德宏), Nujiang (怒江), Honghe (红河), Wenshan (文山), Baoshan (保山), Lincang (临沧), and Pu’er (普洱).

On October 1, 2024, the 25th Xishuangbanna Border Trade and Tourism Fair (边交会) was officially launched at Water-Splashing Square (泼水广场) in Jinghong City.
