[Welcomed by Huayao Yi Women’s  Dragon Dance] Leave from Kunming to Mushan Village, welcomed by Huayao Yi Women’s Dragon Dance.  Mushan Village is in Shaochong Town, Shiping County of Honghe Hani Prefecture, Yunnan Province, cradle of  Women’s Dragon Dance, shooting place of the movie Huayao Bride. The Hauyao Yi Women’s Dragon Dance was in the performance for the closing ceremony of 2008 Olympic and 2016 Online Spring Festival Gala. Every year, Huayaodai Ethnic People will celebrate the Dragon Worship (Jilong) Festival in Mushan Village, there are a lot of tourists coming here from different corner of the world at that time.
[Forming pairs ]make new friends through the pair-forming ceremony hosted by the inheritor of Huayao Yi Intangible Cultural Heritage.
[Pine Leaf Feast] Welcoming dishes of Yi flavor. Yi people say only by sitting on the pine leaf mat can you feel the festival, the pine leaf mat is indispensable stuff for Spring Festival, implying good willingness for the year around.
Move in to the pair partner’s house Visit the pair partner’s house.
[Picking mushrooms] Pick mushrooms in mountains, there will be an introduction to common sense of mushrooms made on the bus to the mountain
[Huayao Yi ethnic folk art]  Learn traditional Yi performances, Yanhe Dance, Hai Cai Accent, Dragon Dance, etc., and play with children live in the village to promote friendship.

Rest time Return to Mushan village for rest, then go to village square to learn embroidery and paper cutting.

[Ethnic Class] Two classes in the local primary school: one class given by the local school teacher to learn about the local customs and ethnic language, another class is given by our team staff (or parents), the class content is decided by parents and teacher through consultation, and prepare it in advance. Play interactive games with pair partner, and do some parent-child games.
[Feeding livestock] [Climbing Soil Palm House] Feed chickens, pigs, cattle and other livestock, experience close contact with the animals. The soil palm house is important production and living site of local people, and is also an “air lane”.
[Shiping Tofu Feast] Shiping speciality dinner party. Shiping Tofu is reported in CCTV programs with its world-famous fame.
Proceed to Jianshui Proceed to Jianshui by bus
[Ceremony of coming age of children ] Or First Writing Ceremony at Confucius’ Temple Arrive at Confucius’ Temple, dress up in Hanfu (traditional clothes of Han people), attend the ceremony of coming age of children (9-12 years old), or First Writing Ceremony (5-8 years old), express appreciations to parent and let the dream fly.
Rituals: 1 wash hands with water from holy well, pray at Lingxing gate; 2 show respect to Saints; 3 learn to dress properly; 4 learn to be thankful and determined;5 bright the heart for future;6 show respect to patron saint;7 awarding certificate and make conclusion.
After the rituals, members can visit Jianshui  Confucius’ Temple - the second largest of China on your own. If the children are too young, only the First Writing Ceremony is arranged.
Reminder: with group members less than 15, the schedule is replaced by visiting the Confucius’ Temple
[Exploration at Jianshui Ancient Town] Dinner  on you own Exploring at the living ancient town - Jianshui Ancient Town. Try some specialties on your own.
[Check in to hotel]  Check in to Lin An Hotel or Zhu Jia Hua Yuan Inn. Then free time to travel through Jianshui Ancient Town.

Head for Gejiu City which is the capital of Tin culture, pay a visit to Gejiu Tin Culture Creative Industry Park.
[Spot Tin Craft] or Shadian Mosque Listen to a lecture on tin culture to get an overall understanding of its history and use in daily life, and watch the craftsman doing art crafts. Children make the first spot tin craft with help of the craftsman and parents. Visit spot tin craft hall. In case of closing due to holiday off or other reasons, visit the First Largest Mosque in Asia. Shadian Mosque (please respect the minority faith.

Drive along the Red River(Honghe River), we visit Abang Village which is inhabited by Dai Ethnic People listed as one of the Traditional Ethnic Villages by Chinese gorvernment.

Transfer to Yuanyang in the late afternoon and enjoy the sunset view of Laohuzui Rice Terraces. Drive to Duoyishu and stay in Pugao Laozhai Village today.

Enjoy the bonfire party with local Yi and Hani ethnic people in Pugao Laozhai Village.

The hiking route is Pugaolaozhai village-Xinzhai-Houzizhai Village-Duoyishu Xiazhai Village-Azheke Village-Niuluopu Village-Pingan Village. Along the way, enjoy the more than 9,000 acres of Hani Rice Terraces with mushroom-shaped house, sacrifice house, water-powered roller, the sacred forest of the village.

We will learn how to make the embroidery with local Yi ethnic women in Azheke Village.

Duoyishu Village is the best place to enjoy the sunrise of Yuanyang Rice Terrace Fields when the sun appears above the eastern horizon. The terraced fields are ring upon ring and cascade one by one. They go along the hillside up to the sky. You will see the scenery of the terraced fields from the top of the mountains to the bottom. They are all farms under the sunshine and cloud and mist. The landscape is spectacular.

Transfer from Yuanyang to Jinping County which is the border county of China and Vietnam.

The terraced filed is masterpiece of Hani people. The waterfalls 200 meter. There are many “Mushroom Houses” on the hillside.

1. have a discussion meeting with the local villagers to know about the history of this village, the traditional culture of the Yi people , the daily life status of the local villagers;
2. have a visit of the stone tiles-roof house of Yi People and the local Farm museum in the village;

• 12:30-13:30: Have the special Yi style lunch.
• 13:30-15:00: Help the local people to do the farm work such as how to ferment the fertilize for sowing, dinning, and how to planting tobacco or corn.
• 15:00-15:30: Enjoy the performance "Drilling wood to make fire".

Return to Kunming in the afternoon.
