Yanjin County History

In the old time, Yanjing was the living area of Bo people. In the Qin dynasty, it was the territory of Shu prefecture and then belonged to Qianwei prefecture(犍为郡) in Han dynasty. During the Tang dynasty, it was under the command of Kaibian county(开边县). In the Song dynasty, Yanjing was subordinate to Shimen Road(石门路). At the beginning of Yuan dynasty, it was under the command of Wumeng prefecture. Later in Ming dynasty, it was the territory of Wumeng political prefecture. In the Republic of China, Yanjing belonged to Daguan county, four years later, it was divided from Daguan county and set Yanjing county.
