Tianyu Coffee Manor is located in Mangmao Village (芒冒村), Fuyan Town (富岩镇), Menglian County (孟连县), Puer City (普洱市), Yunnan Province. Established in 2011 by the Menglian Tianyu Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative (孟连天宇咖啡农民专业合作社), the manor has been recognized as one of the Yunnan Province’s Boutique Coffee Plantations (云南省精品咖啡庄园) in 2022. It operates on a “Cooperative + Farmers + Base” (合作社+农户+基地) business model, covering 280 farming households. The manor spans 2,388 acres, with 1,600 acres dedicated to a standardized biodiversity demonstration zone, incorporating cherry blossoms and fruit intercropping methods. Between 2018 and 2021, its coffee beans won numerous awards at the Yunnan Coffee Bean Competition (云南生豆大赛). In 2021, its coffee product was selected as a gift for members of the United Nations Security Council (联合国安理会成员国).

Coffee Experience Center

The manor features a Coffee Experience Center (咖啡体验中心) of 160 square meters, where visitors can enjoy a full experience from planting and roasting to tasting coffee.

Cultural Integration

Incorporating Wa Ethnic Group (佤族) culture, the manor plans to develop a coffee-themed educational travel route (咖啡研学路线) to blend local traditions with coffee tourism.


Plantation Development

The coffee plantation project was initiated in 2010 by Ye Ping (叶萍), a leader from the Wa Ethnic Group (佤族), and the cooperative was officially established in November 2011. In 2022, the manor established a standardized biodiversity demonstration zone (标准化生物多样性示范区), featuring a 10-kilometer cherry blossom landscape.

The manor’s Coffee Experience Center (咖啡体验中心) is equipped with areas for coffee tasting and cultural exchanges.


Planting System

The manor adopts a vertical intercropping model at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,500 meters. The core 1,600-acre area integrates coffee cultivation with cherry blossoms, avocados, and other crops, forming a three-tier planting system (三层套种).

The price of fresh coffee fruits has risen to 4.5 RMB per kilogram, and in the 2021 harvest season, the cooperative distributed 300,000 RMB in bonuses to farmers, increasing average household income by 14,000 RMB.
