The Weishan Snack Festival is a feast for food lovers. Origin of the Festival

Weishan Yi Autonomous County is located about 60 kilometers south of Dali City in Yunnan Province. The ancient city of Weishan has a long history and rich cultural heritage, earning it the reputation of being the "Hometown of Famous Snacks in China." It is also referred to as "Charming Weishan, a Heaven for Snacks." Since 2011, Weishan has held the Weishan Snack Festival every year.

Festival Culture

Weishan snacks are renowned for their unique flavors, exquisite craftsmanship, diverse varieties, a good balance of meat and vegetarian options, convenience and speed, rich nutrition, and affordability, making them highly favored by food enthusiasts both domestically and internationally. During the festival, there will be a concentrated display of characteristic snacks, specialty tourism products, and Dali-style barbecue from various cities and counties in Dali Prefecture. It will showcase the famous, unique, and high-quality snacks and tourism products from different regions within Dali Prefecture. An array of Yunnan delicacies—such as braised meat rice noodles, a single noodle, candied fruits, green bean cakes, Xizhou bapa (a type of rice cake), Heqing rice cakes, Dali raw skin, cold chicken rice noodles, roasted rice cakes, cold jelly, beef jerky, and countless other Yunnan snacks—will strongly delight your taste buds.
