Travel to Jinghong from Kunming by long distance bus is popular among tourists. Jinghong is the prefectural city of Xishuangbanna, bordering Myanmar in the south. It is a small city on the Lancang River with lush tropical and subtropical scenery and a unique folk culture. As a central city of international regional cooperation area of China, Thailand, and Myanmar, Jinghong city boasts subtropical monsoon climate and high forest coverage rate. Amazing tropical scenery, together with the colorful ethnic culture attract thousands of tourists every year.
In Jinghong, Gaozhuang Xishuangjing and the Dai Minority Garden are highly recommended for your culture tour. Jinuo Mountain Village is not far away from Jinghong city for tourists to experience the folk culture of the last listed ethnic group in China.
Kunming is the capital and largest city in Yunnan Province, Southwest China. Kunming is also known as the “Spring City”. The city is covered with blossoms and lush vegetation all-year round. Jinghong lies about 540 km away from Kunming City. Tourists can get to Jinghong from Kunming very easily by long distance buses.

There are 12 long-distance buses available every day from Kunming to Jinghong City (景洪市). Tourists can take the long-distance bus from Kunming South Bus Station (昆明南部客运站) or Kunming North Bus Station(昆明北部客运站) to Jinghong Bus Station(景洪客运站), the journey will take about 7.5-8.5 hours.
