There are several types of WeChat Official Accounts. The ones most used by companies are the Subscription Account and the Service Account. It is up to the foreign company to decide which of these fits best with its marketing strategy.

WeChat Official Accounts are the tools the WeChat social network provides for companies to interact with their customers. Just as on Facebook, when a business opens their Official Account with WeChat, it has the possibility of acquiring followers. By means of WeChat, a company can get in touch with its followers through messages, or by directing them to a website or online store.

Here are the steps for registering a WeChat Official Account

1. Go to https://mp.weixin.qq.com/ and click the Register button to start the signup process.

2. Select whether you want to open a Subscription Account or a Service Account.

3. Enter you email address and click on the Send Code button to receive the verification code.

4. Look for the verification code in your email and type it into the field: Email Verification Code.

5. Set a password for your account, agree with the terms and condition, and click Register.

6. Select the country of origin of your company and fill in the required information about your business.

7. You will be asked what verification method you want to use.

Even though you have three options, we recommend you use the WeChat verification since it will give you access to premium features on your Official Account.

8. Create an account profile.

Keep in mind, that for the name, you can only use Chinese and alphanumeric characters. Spaces and special characters are not allowed

9. Click Done and the registration process is finished.

Remember to verify your account within 30 days to start using your WeChat Official Account.

Changing Language Settings in QQ International

Step 1: Open QQ International and Log In

1. Open the QQ International app on your device.
2. Log in to your QQ account using your credentials.

Step 2: Access Language Settings

1. After logging in, tap on the Compass icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
2. Next, tap on the Settings icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Select Language

1. In the Settings menu, look for and tap on the Language button.
2. You will see a list of available languages. Choose English or any other language you prefer from the list.

Step 4: Save Changes

1. Once you’ve selected your preferred language, tap DONE at the top right corner of the screen to save the changes.
2. The QQ International app will now display in the language you selected.

Tips for Changing Language from Default Chinese

If QQ International is in Chinese by default and you need to change it:

1. Look for the term 语言 (yǔyán), which means “language” in Chinese, or 切换语言 (qiēhuàn yǔyán), which means “change language.”
2. Tap on either option with these Chinese characters to access the language settings.
3. Follow the steps outlined above to choose and apply your preferred language.

By following these steps, you can easily set QQ International to display in English or another language of your choice, enhancing your user experience while using the app in China.

WeChat is China’s Digital Vitality. More than 1 billion users are active each month, and this so-called “super pp” is ubiquitous in almost every aspect of daily life. Local people use it to chat with friends, publish updates, pay almost all fees or even more, which makes WeChat a mainstay of modern Chinese society.

Although WeChat may not be well-known outside Asia, it provides an easy-to-use English interface that tourists wishing to experience Yunnan culture first-hand can use. How to Set WeChat on Mobile Phone

• After downloading the application, open it and click Register
• Type your phone number in the appropriate field.
  However, before this, you must consider whether you will use China’s SIM card in China. Some tourists choose to purchase China’s user identification cards when they arrive, so that they can keep in touch with their companions on the trip without using wireless networks. This is a reasonably priced option that allows you to continue to use most of your applications as usual, although you still need to install a virtual private network to use Instagram, Facebook and other applications that are blocked in China.   If you do plan to get a local user identification card when you arrive, it may be easier to wait until you have a new Chinese phone number before setting up WeChat. You can still use your foreign number to set it up, but once you insert the SIM card in China, you will have to update the number associated with your account, which may be troublesome.
  If you don’t plan to buy a mobile phone card when you arrive, you just need to set up WeChat with your normal number. Please ensure that the correct country code is selected according to your country of origin.
• WeChat will send a text verification code to the number you use to register, and then you will enter the verification code in the space provided. If you use your foreign number, please be sure to download and verify your phone number on WeChat before starting your trip, because you may not be able to get services after arriving in China, which may prevent you from receiving the verification text.
• Once you have verified your number, you will be prompted to enter your name and create a WeChat account to complete your account setup.

That’s it! You can now use WeChat to connect and communicate with other WeChat users.

How to add contacts on WeChat

To add other users, you need to enter the main “chat” page and click the small “+”icon in the upper right corner. From this menu, select Add Contact as follows:

From here, you can search for contacts in several ways. First of all, you can search for users by entering their phone number or WeChat number in the space at the top of the screen.

Set up WeChat payment

Unfortunately, now you can only top up with Chinese bank/credit card. Although WeChat will allow you to add a foreign visa or MasterCard number to your account, this is for verification purposes only and you will not be able to use the card to make purchases in China or recharge your WeChat account.

However, don’t worry. There is another way! The first obstacle is the application of WeChat payment function. For those who download WeChat using a Chinese user identification card, this option will automatically appear under the “I” tab of your WeChat profile. After WeChat payment is enabled, your personal data page is as follows.

However, those who download the international version of WeChat from their home countries may not see WeChat payment options on the home page. No matter whether WeChat payment function appears or not, in order to use it, you need one of your WeChat friends (who have already set up WeChat payment) to send you a “red envelope”, which is basically a direct transfer of funds.

Just click on the red packet and then click “open” to accept the transmission.

Receiving red envelopes will put some money into your WeChat balance, and WeChat payment function should appear in your personal data, if not already. Then you can use this balance to pay for shopping through WeChat!

At some point in the process, you will be prompted to set up the 6-digit personal identification code of your choice. Please remember this, because you need to enter a password whenever you pay.

In Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province, Yi ethnic group’s embroidery is called “fingertip art” by local people. It is famous for its complicated embroidery art and delicate patterns.

WhatsApp Messenger from Facebook is a freeware, cross-platform messaging and Voice over IP (VoIP) service owned by Facebook.It allows users to send text messages and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other media. WhatsApp’s client application runs on mobile devices but is also accessible from desktop computers, as long as the user’s mobile device remains connected to the Internet while they use the desktop app.

Is it possible to use WhatsApp in China in 2019? Even though WhatsApp has been blocked in China since June of 2017, I still remain connected on WhatsApp, so I can tell you from experience that it’s entirely possible…as long as you’re prepared. Here’s a quick explanation of what you need to know and how to make sure you can access WhatsApp in China.

The way to use Whatsapp

Follow these step-by-step instructions to master all the major functions of WhatsApp

• Step 1: Invite Contacts to WhatsApp

If you want to use Whatsapp to talk to your contacts, you need to make sure that WhatsApp is installed on their mobile phones. If so, they will appear automatically.

If they don’t have WhatsApp, you can send them an invitation via text message or email with a link to download the app.

On the iPhone, tap Favorites, scroll down and tap Invite Friends to WhatsApp
On Android, click the “Contacts” tab, scroll down and click “Invite Friends.”
Please note that if you decide to invite contacts via text, a standard text rate will be charged, so please consult your provider to ensure that your existing plan will not incur significant costs.

• Step 2: Send and Receive Messages

Once you have invited all your contacts to WhatsApp, you can start sending and receiving messages.

Open WhatsApp and click the chat icon at the bottom right corner or top of the screen, depending on the device you are using.
Select the contact to whom you want to send text and start composing the message.
When finished, click the send icon (small white plane on blue background)

• Step 3: Notification ticks

You will notice different coloured check marks next to each message.

One grey tick means that the message has been successfully sent from your phone
Two grey ticks means that the message has been successfully delivered to your contact’s phone
Two blue ticks means that your contact has read your message
If you’ve sent a message to a group of contacts, the second grey tick will not appear until all contacts have received your message. The two blue ticks will not appear until everyone has read the message.

• Step 4: Setting up groups

You can send messages to multiple people at once by setting up a group.

Go to the chat screen and tap on the three dots at the top right on an Android phone or at the bottom of the iPhone screen.
Select ‘New Group’
Now add group members by either tapping on their profile or typing their name into the search box
Add an optional icon for the group by tapping on the empty photo box and then add a name by typing in the group subject
Once you’ve finished, tap ‘Create’ to finish or just tap on the tick

• Step 5: Sending photos on Whatsapp

To send a picture to a contact follow these steps…

Open up a chat and tap on the attachments icon (a plus sign on iPhone or the paperclip on an Android)
Or go into camera mode by tapping on the camera icon at the top of the chat screen and send an image directly
If you haven’t already given WhatsApp permission to use your camera, you’ll need to do so now. You can either use your camera to take a new picture or select the Photo & Video Library/Gallery which will open up your existing pictures for you to choose one to send. Tap on the one you want and it’ll be added to a chat.

Erhai Lake is the largest highland lake next to Dianchi and one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China. It has its feature shaped as a human’s ear, whose surface equals 250 kilometers square, running from Dengchuan in the north with its south end at the Xiaguan city. It is 9 kilometers in width and 40 kilometers in length. The landscape of the Erhai Lake includes nine bends, five lakes, three islands, and four continents. Because of its crystal clear water and the charming landscape, it is also titled as “Pearl of Plateau”. Three Piers of Erhai Lake Cruise

Xiaguan Pier(下关码头)

Also called Erhai Lake Pier, Xiaguan pier is located in the Dongnanyan of the Erhe River in Dali, covers an area of 4.4 hectares. Its Main Building, with total floor space of 3,200 square meters, offers passengers with convenience in getting on and off regular ships, and taking rest. Apart from the Building, there are a square, parking lot, roads and green area. There is also a Ship Examination Center of the Shipping Company.

Transportation: It’s near Erhai Park and tourists can take bus route No.6 from Xiaguan to Erhai Lake Pier or take a taxi to.

Taoyuan Pier(桃园码头)

Also called Butterfly Spring Pier, Taoyuan pier is located in Taoyuan village, just opposite road of Butterfly Spring. The area of Taoyuan pier has been developed commercially and maturely. The buses of travel agencies are in an endless stream, most of which are heading to the famous Shuanglang at the opposite shore. There are good accommodations around the pier, where you can enjoy the beautiful Erhai lake scenery. 

Transportation:

There is no direct bus coming from Dali Ancient Town to Taoyuan Pier. Tourists can take the shuttle bus from Dali to Shaunglang(双廊), Jiangwei(江尾) or Butterfly Spring(蝴蝶泉) and get off at Taoyuan Pier. Alternatively, take a taxi or share a local vehicle to with others to Taoyuan pier.

Longkan Pier(龙龛码头)

Longkan village, is one of the small villages near the ancient city of Dali by Erhai lake. Longkan pier is located in this village. The surroundings is very quiet, and there are no redundant buildings, only farmland. It is also the gathering place of seaview houses. 

Transportation:

1.Take Bus Route No. 4 or No.8 from Xiaguan to Dali Ancient Town;
2.Take Bus Route No. 3 at the North Gate of Dali Ancient Town to Longkan Pier;
3.Take Bus Route No. C2 at Dali Ancient Town to Caicun Pier(才村码头) and then walk to Longkan Pier.

Types of Erhai Lake Cruise

There are two types of ships: big cruise or small cruise serving in different routes. Long Route of Erhai Lake Cruise

Route 1: Xiaguan Pier(下关码头) – Longkan Pier(龙龛码头) – Little Putuo Island(小普陀) – Nanzhao Folk Island(南诏风情岛) – Taoyuan Pier(桃园码头)

If you are ready by 8:00 – 9:00, you can choose the Erhai Lake Pier (Xiaguan Pier) as your point of departure. At 09:00, the ship will set out from Xiaguan pier and arrive at Longkan pier at around 09:30-10:00. Then continue the tour to Little Putuo and Nanzhao Folk Island. Sometimes the visit to Little Putuo will be cancelled according to the actual conditions. Tourists will have about 40 minutes at Nanzhao Folk Island. You will have a great time with the Bai People’s Three Courses of Tea when you visit the Nanzhao Folk Island. 

Route 2: Taoyuan Pier(桃园码头) – Nanzhao Folk Island(南诏风情岛) – Longkan Pier(龙龛码头) – Xiaguan Pier(下关码头)

At around 13:30 – 14:00, the ship will sail back from Taoyuan Pier to Xiaguan Pier via Nanzhao Folk Island and Longkan Pier. The same as the route 1, tourists will have a great time with the Bai People’s Three Courses of Tea when you visit the Nanzhao Folk Island. The whole journey will take about 3-4 hours. Around 17:30 – 18:00, you will arrive at the Longkan Pier.

Short Route of Erhai Lake Cruise

Route: Longkan Pier(龙龛码头) – Longquan Peninsula(龙荃半岛), namely Tianjingge(天镜阁) – Longkan Pier(龙龛码头)

This short route of Erhai Lake is suitable both for big ship and small ship. You can get to the Longquan Peninsula through the Longkan Pier. The departure time for big ship is 10:00 and 14;00. Please arrive at the pier in advance if you want to catch the big ship. As for the small ship, it will depart when it is full. Also, the Bai People’s Three Courses of Tea is ready for tourists to experience their unique culture.

What to See During Erhai Lake Cruise

Little Putuo Island

Little Putuo Island is the smallest island in Erhai Lake, which is very close to the Wase Village. One of the greatest attractions of this island is the Little Putuo Temple built in the Ming-dynasty of 15^th century, and originally devoted to Bodhisattva Kwanyin. Worshippers can visit either of the two floors available in the temple and have a bird’s eye view of the lake. In the winter, you will see a vast number of seagulls.

Nanzhao Folk Island

Popularly known as the Nanzhao Love Island, the folk island of Nanzhao, located in the north of Erhai Lake, is an important cultural site of the Bai people. This is one of the three islands which you find in Erhai Lake. t is about five minutes from Shuanglang by cruise. Besides the hills, threes, beach, there are eight which are man-made.

Three Course Tea Ceremony

During the Erhai cruise, it is recommended to enjoy the most famous Three Course Tea Ceremony in the region. In Chinese, it is called San Dao Cha. During this ceremony, the following tea will be served: a bitter tea, a sweet tea and tea of aftertaste finish. So the travellers can take part in one of the most important traditions of the Bai minority.

Tianjingge Scenic Spot(Luoquan Peninsula)

It is situated in the east bank of Erhai Lake, facing Dali Old Town across the lake. It is an ideal place to view Silver Cangshan Mountain and Jade Erhai Lake. There are several Buddhist sites worth exploring, such as “Luoquan Temple”, “Guanyin Pavilion” and “Luoquan Pagoda”.
