Tourists can get to Fuxian Lake from Kunming very easily by long distance buses. You need to get to Fuxian Lake City(the former Chengjiang County澄江县) first, then you can get to Fuxian Lake by local bus. Located in Chengjiang county, which is 52 kilometers away from Kunming, Fuxian lake is 5 kilometers away from the county seat of Chengjiang county. It is the deepest plateau fresh water lake in China.

Chengjiang to Fuxian Lake Bus

  • Take the bus East Round of Lake(环湖东线, Huanhu Dongxian) at Chengjiang County Bus Station(澄江县客运站), get off at He’ou Zhuangyuan Station(荷藕庄园), then you can get to Fuxian Lake. The bus ticket is 10 CNY, which requires about 30 minutes for a one-way trip.
  • Take the Bus West Round of Lake(环湖西线, Huanhu Xixian) at Chengjiang County Bus Station, get off at Xianhu Road Crossing(仙湖路路口), then you can get to Fuxian Lake. The bus ticket is 10 CNY, which requires about 40 minutes for a one-way trip.

  • You can only get the bus tickets of Kunming to Chengjiang in person at the Kunming South Bus Station.
