Mamichang Mi’s Mosque is situated in Mamichang, a small hillside northeast of Yongjian Township, Weishan County. It serves 210 households comprising over 1100 Hui Muslims from the Ge Dima subgroup.

Historical Background

  • Founding: The exact founding date is unknown. The main prayer hall features a single-eaved gable and hip roof style, reputedly one of the two remaining halls after the Xianfeng-Tongzhi Uprising. It was rebuilt in 1988 and includes a basement with a total area of 589 square meters.
  • Structural Features: In 1946, the Yili Building, a four-cornered pointed roof structure covering 273 square meters, was added. Several side rooms serve as classrooms and dormitories. The entire mosque covers an area of approximately 3 acres with a structured and orderly layout, totaling 1445 square meters.
