The school is located in the center of Nuohei Stone Village. It is not a too big building with two floors. In the front of the school, there’s a public activity center for local people to celebrate their festivals. Left side of the school, there’s a public Yi Minority Culture Museum with many Yi’s exhibitions in it. The location of the school must be good for students to learn and do activities.

The school focuses on the primary education. Most of the students belong to  Yi Minority. The students can not only learn Chinese and other subjects, but also can learn their Yi language.
