• Morning Departure to Longpan Town
  • From Lijiang, you'll start a scenic drive of approximately 60 kilometers to Longpan Town, where we'll visit the awe-inspiring First Bend of Yangtze River.
  • Take in the breathtaking views of the majestic gorge landscape unfolding before you.
  • As you continue along the Yangtze River, you'll marvel at the stunning scenery of the Lijiang valley, where rolling hills are dotted with wheat fields and drying haystacks.
• Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge Adventure
  • Next, you'll drive for another 40 kilometers to reach the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge, a stunning natural wonder and home to the world's deepest gorge.
  • The Jinsha River, a tributary of the Yangtze, flows through this area, where you can spot gold in its waters.
  • You'll then head to the Middle Part of Tiger Leaping Gorge for a delicious lunch break.
• Haba Village Arrival and Acclimatization
  • In the afternoon, you'll make your way to Haba Village, a charming Naxi village nestled at the foot of Haba Snow Mountain.
  • After settling in, you'll have time to prepare your equipment and acclimatize to the high altitude (2,600 meters) at our Haba Snow Mountain Guesthouse.
  • Following lunch, you'll conduct a health checkup by examining your heart rate and blood oxygen content.
  • You'll also receive valuable information about the Haba Snow Mountain Climbing experience and learn what to expect during our adventure ahead.

• Ascending to the Base Camp
  • Embark on a challenging yet breathtaking trek up the slopes of Haba Snow Mountain, covering approximately 15 kilometers to reach the Base Camp at an altitude of 4,200 meters.
  • The journey will take around 7 hours, with the comfort of yaks carrying your luggage.
  • Take a picnic lunch along the way, and remember to pack only the essentials: water, clothes, and necessary food.
  • The rest of your gear will be transferred to the Base Camp by horse.
• Base Camp Arrivals and Altitude Considerations
  • Note that the base camp's altitude may vary depending on the source, but the past experience suggests it's around 4,100 meters.
  • This long day hike can get quite muddy, so don your best waterproof boots to keep your feet dry and comfortable. T
  • he path winds through the stunning Yunnan forest for most of the way, with three picturesque meadows to cross before arriving at the Base Camp in the afternoon.
• Acclimatization and Altitude Adjustments
  • Today's hike involves a significant elevation gain of 1,500 meters, which may cause altitude sickness in some participants.
  • Due to the high elevation, it's essential to know how to adapt to the conditions and adjust your body accordingly.
