Cigulu village, also known as Xiaojiezi Village, is located in Jiantang town, the hinterland of Shangri-la city, northwest Yunnan. Jiantang town is where the government of Shangrila city stands and is the political, economic and cultural center of the whole prefecture. It is the important thoroughfare of the tea-horse ancient road of Yunnan and Tibet, about 607 kilometers from the provincial capital Kunming.
