Day 1 Shangri-La – Deqin -Feilaisi-Xidang Village-Yubeng Village

  • Morning Drive to Deqin County
    • Embark on a 4-5 hour drive to Deqin County, located 187km away from Shangri-La, with breathtaking views of diverse trees, streams, prayer flags, stupas, and Tibetan villages along the way.
  • Naxi Pottery Village and Jinsha River Scenery
    • After half an hour of driving from Shangri-La, enjoy a panoramic view of the Naxi Pottery Village. Then, drive down to the river valley and continue the scenic journey along the Jinsha River to Benzilan Town, where you’ll enjoy lunch.
  • Dongzhulin Monastery and First Bend of Jinsha River
    • After lunch, drive uphill to the Dongzhulin Monastery in Shusong Village, Benzilan District, Deqin County. This ancient monastery, built in 1667, offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
    • Visit the First Bend of Jinsha River (also known as Moon Bend), which marks the boundary between Sichuan and Yunnan provinces.
  • Baimang Snow Mountain Nature Reserve and Feilai Lamasery

    • Arrive in Feilaisi in the late afternoon and take a short journey to the Wunongding Viewing Platform.

  • Unveiling the Prince’s 13 Peaks
    • From the Sightseeing Platform, gaze out at the breathtaking vista, where 13 white pagodas come into view.
    • These iconic structures represent the 13 peaks of Meili Snow Mountain, towering above 6,000 meters (19,685 feet) above sea level. The “Prince’s 13 Peaks” is a sight to behold.
  • Transfer to Yubeng Village
    • Following your visit to the viewing platform, drive from Feilai Lamasery to Xidang Village, then transfer to an SUV for a scenic ride to Yubeng Village.
