Also known as “Wudang Branch Temple” (武当别院), Biyun Temple (碧云寺) is said to have been built in the mid-Ming Dynasty by a disciple from Wudang Mountain (武当山) in Jun County (均县), Hubei Province (湖北省). Historical records indicate the temple was established during the Qing Qianlong period. The main gate stands on eight pillars, and the temple complex originally had over 30 structures, including the Patriarch Hall (祖师殿), Guanyin Hall (观音殿), Pig God Hall (猪神殿), Huangjun Hall (黄君殿), Three Emperors Hall (三皇殿), Earth God Hall (土地殿), and Wanghailou Tower (望海楼), among others. The architecture is traditional and elegant, with detailed carvings and well-organized layouts. Construction of Longxi Aristocratic Manor (陇西世族庄园) began in 1938 and was completed in 1943. The manor was the residence of Li Runzhi (李润之), the last heir of the hereditary Tusi (土司) Li Xianzhi (李显智), who was granted the title of Tubazong (土把总) by Emperor Qianlong during the Qing Dynasty.
