Shiping Old Town, located in Shiping County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is one of the first cities in China to be selected as a “Historical and Cultural Street” by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the National Cultural Heritage Administration. Announced on April 21, 2015, the selection recognized 30 districts, with Shiping Old Town being the only one from Yunnan.
