You can set off from the base camp, then reach the Xuemenkan Puerto(雪门坎垭口) (4300 above sea level) through the Xiaohai Lake(小海湖), Huanghai Lake(黄海胡) and Heihai Lake(黑海湖). Xuemenkan Puerto is the best place to watch the whole Haba Snow Mountain(哈巴雪山), Tianbao Snow Mountain(天宝雪山), Jinsha River Gorge(金沙江峡谷) and many mountains. After climbing over the puerto, you’ll live in tents on Zhuqingping Pasture (the whole journey will take for 5 or 6 hours on feet).
Day 5 Zhuqingping Pasture竹箐平牧场(3700M)-Tuguang Village土光村(2800M)-Shangri-La
Leave the camp early and walk for about 5 or 6 hours to reach Tuguang Village(土光村). You’ll pass through the Cuckoo Valley(杜鹃谷) and primeval forest along the way, arrive at Tuguang Village, then drive to Shangri-La(香格里拉).

Day 1 Lijiang-Qiaotou-Tea Horse Guesthouse
Sightseeing and Activities: the First Bend of Yangtze River and Tiger Leaping Gorge Hiking

At 8 AM, meet your tour guide & driver at your hotel, then head to Qiaotou Town. On the way, have a distance view of the First Bend of Yangtze River from afar. After Arriving at Qiaotou Town, hike about 2.5 hours from Qiaotou Elementary School to Naxi Family in Nuoyu Village for lunch and rest.
In the afternoon, continue hiking about 1.5 hours to the 28 Zigzag Turns Trail. You will have a wonderful view of the upper part of Tiger Leaping Gorge from 28 Turns Trail, then hike about 1 hour to Tea and Horse Guesthouse for overnight.
Day 2 Tea Horse Guesthouse-Half Way Guesthouse-Tina’s Guesthouse-Haba Village

After breakfast, hike 1 hour to Bendiwan Village and take a break at Half-way Guesthouse. Hike along a small train to Guanyin Waterfall and Bamboo Forest, arrive at Tina’s Hostel at noon.
After hiking, have lunch in Tina’s Hostel and drive along the Yangtze River. Drive to Haba Village for overnight.
Day 3 Haba Village-the Base Camp of Haba Snow Mountain(4200M)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Trek up the Haba Mountain for about 15 km to the Base Camp at the 4200 m, which will take about 7 hours, with yaks taking your luggage. You will have picnic lunch in Haba Snow Mountain. You only need to take some water, clothe and necessary food. The other equipment will be transferred by the horses to the Basic Camp.
Base camp altitude indications vary depending on whom you ask but we found it to be at about 4100 m so this is a rather long day and the path can get very muddy. Use good waterproof boots. The walk is mostly through the beautiful Yunann forest apart from three meadows that you will cross on the way.
Today you will hike up 1500M of the altitude, arrive at the Base Camp in the afternoon. Because of the high elevation, everyone will suffer the different altitude sickness. You should know how to adjust the situation and adapt to the high elevation. If you really feel not very well, please tell your escort.
Day 4 Base Camp(4200M) – the Submit – Base Camp
Sightseeing and Activities:Climb the Top of Haba Snow mountain

Get up at 3:00 am, prepare for your equipment and have a simple breakfast. Examine your health condition before leaving for the top at 4:00 AM.
You will try toclimb about 4 km to the top of the Haba Snow Mountain at the 5396m, which will take about 5 hours. It is the ice and snow trail from the camp 1 to the summit. Enjoy the wonderful scenery of Haba Snow Mountain and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with Yangtze River in the middle, take the pictures as souvenir. Here will be an unforgettable station of your life.
After having a picnic lunch, you will trek down to Camp 1 to take your luggage, then continue trek down to the Base Camp. Our service clerk at the BC will prepare good meals and waiting for you. Overnight at the Base Camp at 4200M.
Day 5 Base Camp of Haba Snow Mountain(4200M)-Xuemenkan Pass(4300M)-Zhuqingping Pasture(3700M)
Sightseeing and Activities:Xuemenkan Puerto, Xiaohai Lake, Huanghai Lake, Heihai Lake

You can set off from the base camp, then reach the Xuemenkan Puerto(雪门坎垭口) (4300 above sea level) through the Xiaohai Lake(小海湖), Huanghai Lake(黄海胡) and Heihai Lake(黑海湖). Xuemenkan Puerto is the best place to watch the whole Haba Snow Mountain(哈巴雪山), Tianbao Snow Mountain(天宝雪山), Jinsha River Gorge(金沙江峡谷) and many mountains. After climbing over the puerto, you’ll live in tents on Zhuqingping Pasture (the whole journey will take for 5 or 6 hours on feet).
Day 6 Zhuqingping Pasture(3700M)-Tuguang Village(2800M)-Shangri-La
Sightseeing and Activities:Tuguang Village, Cuckoo Valley
Accommodation: none
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Leave the camp early and walk for about 5 or 6 hours to reach Tuguang Village(土光村). You’ll pass through the Cuckoo Valley(杜鹃谷) and primeval forest along the way, arrive at Tuguang Village, then drive to Shangri-La(香格里拉). Service ends.

Day 1 Lijiang-Qiaotou-Tea Horse Guesthouse
Sightseeing and Activities: the First Bend of Yangtze River and Tiger Leaping Gorge Hiking

At 8 AM, meet your tour guide & driver at your hotel, then head to Qiaotou Town. On the way, have a distance view of the First Bend of Yangtze River from afar. After Arriving at Qiaotou Town, hike about 2.5 hours from Qiaotou Elementary School to Naxi Family in Nuoyu Village for lunch and rest.
In the afternoon, continue hiking about 1.5 hours to the 28 Zigzag Turns Trail. You will have a wonderful view of the upper part of Tiger Leaping Gorge from 28 Turns Trail, then hike about 1 hour to Tea and Horse Guesthouse for overnight.
Day 2 Tea Horse Guesthouse-Half Way Guesthouse-Tina’s Guesthouse-Haba Village
Sightseeing and Activities:Waterfalls and Streams, Bamboo Forest, Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge
Accommodation: Haba Village
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
After breakfast, hike 1 hour to Bendiwan Village and take a break at Half-way Guesthouse. Hike along a small train to Guanyin Waterfall and Bamboo Forest, arrive at Tina’s Hostel at noon.
After hiking, have lunch in Tina’s Hostel and drive along the Yangtze River. Drive to Haba Village for overnight.
Day 3 Haba Village-the Base Camp of Haba Snow Mountain(4200M)

Accommodation:Base Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Trek up the Haba Mountain for about 15 km to the Base Camp at the 4200 m, which will take about 7 hours, with yaks taking your luggage. You will have picnic lunch in Haba Snow Mountain. You only need to take some water, clothe and necessary food. The other equipment will be transferred by the horses to the Basic Camp.
Base camp altitude indications vary depending on whom you ask but we found it to be at about 4100 m so this is a rather long day and the path can get very muddy. Use good waterproof boots. The walk is mostly through the beautiful Yunann forest apart from three meadows that you will cross on the way.
Today you will hike up 1500M of the altitude, arrive at the Base Camp in the afternoon. Because of the high elevation, everyone will suffer the different altitude sickness. You should know how to adjust the situation and adapt to the high elevation. If you really feel not very well, please tell your escort.
Day 4 Base Camp of Haba Snow Mountain(4200M)-Jizhi Mountain Pass(4500M)-Southwest Slope of Haba Mountain-Xiajizhi Pasture

Trek from Base Camp to Jizhi Mountain Pass(2 hours). On the way, enjoy the scenery of Haba Mountain and you could see the Black Sea from afar. Trek along the Xiliu Pasture to Xiazhiji Pasture (3 hours).
Day 5 Xiajizhi Pasture(3500M)-Dongpo Village(2300M)-Qiaotou Town-Shangri-La

Trek from Xiajizhi Pasture to Dongpo Village(4 hours). On the way, you will pass through original forest, Yi and Lisu villages. After reaching Dongpo Village, drive to Shangri-la. Service ends.
