Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge trekking is the most perilous part than other parts of Tiger Leaping Gorge trekking. There are two ways connecting upper place to lower place. One is called "Tianti Ladder", another one is called "Yixiantian"( A Tread of Sky). Get down to the river side, you will see the Jinsha River shrinking and getting blocked by several huge stones in a narrow valley. Listen to the deafening voice of water flapping at the stones, and explore the nearby.

From Lijiang, you’ll drive about 60KM to the First Bend on the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery, and the Iron Chain Bridge in Shigu Old Town. The town of Stone Drum got its name from a large, cylindrical, marble tablet shaped like a drum. The scenery is magnificent as the road running through the Lijiang valley which is filled with wheat fields and drying haystacks.

Continue the driving of 40KM more to visit the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge (Shangri-La side), the deepest gorge in the world. With 34 rapids of the Yangtze River, it is called the Jinsha in this area because you can find gold in the river.

Drive along the road to Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge . We will choose the most wonderful part of Tiger Leaping Gorge for the hiking adventure. Start the hiking tour from 14KM Point, trek along the road to Bendiwan Village and have lunch in Half-way Guesthouse where you will have a fantastic view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the balcony of the guesthouse.
1 Day Tiger Leaping Gorge Trekking Group Tour from Bendiwan Village to Middle Gorge

Hiking along the trail from Bendiwan Village to Tina’s Hostel. We will visit the Guanyin Waterfall, Guanyin Temple and steep cliffs. Hike down from the Bamboo Forest, we will have a nice view of Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge, arrive in Tinas Hostel for a break.

Transfer to visit the Walnut Garden Village and drive back to Lijiang in the late afternoon.Service ends.
